SEO – Dominating Google, Yahoo and Bing (MSN)

by NancyC on June 15, 2009

Are You Blanketing the Front pages of Google, Yahoo and Bing with your company’s website?

Are you snagging all the free traffic from the 3 search engines that account for 95% of all searches?

Here is why this is of utmost importance to you. It’s a fact that 80% of ALL consumers are now searching online first for the products, goods and services they need, want, and desire. If you are still spending 80% of your marketing budget on traditional advertising media, you are missing the boat, because the person you are trying to capture as a customer has moved online.

And the important point is this. This is TARGETED traffic, people searching specifically for you. This isn’t shotgun advertising like newspapers or television, but laser targeted traffic looking for you RIGHT NOW! People searching specifically for you because they have a need or problem that needs solved RIGHT NOW.

When you can place your business in front of targeted traffic, your business will thrive, recession or no recession.

Watch this video, and see exactly what I am talking about.

Would you like to capture ALL the free traffic flowing from the 3 major search engines? Would you like to dominate your competition and force them to spend money for traffic while you enjoy it all for free?

Are you ready to place your business in front of 80% of the population that is searching online FIRST for the goods and services they are looking for?

Traditional SEO is being replaced by the New Wave of SEO marketing, Web 2.0 marketing, and you can enjoy the benefits of it for your company.

Why You Need To Be Number 1 In Google?

Google Statistics For Click-Thru’s

Rank % of Clicks Visits per 1,000
1 42.1% 421
2 11.9% 119
3 8.5% 85
4 6.1% 61
5 4.9% 49
6 4.1% 41
7 3.4% 34
8 3.0% 30
9 2.8% 28
10 3.0% 30

Obviously, it’s easy to notice what is happening here and again, why I stress taking over the front page of search is crucial for your business.

With a single glance you can see that the closer you are to the top of the listings, the more potential customers visit your web-site.

Visitors select higher results far more often than they select results below, as is also shown by the Google eye studies I shared in a prior video.

Here is how it breaks down. If Google were sending out 1,000 visitors per day for a keyword, the #1 result would receive 421 of them (this pretty holds true for other search engines also).

But for each step you take to the next lower rung of the ladder, there’s a massive drop in the amount of traffic that you get.

This is why ranking matters – big time!

Position #1 might get 421 visitors…

But position #2 might only get 119 (just over 1/4 of the visitors of position #1);
Position #3 would get just 81 visitors (1/5th of the visitors of position #1);
Position #6 would receive just 41 visitors per day (1/10th of the visitors of position #1);

So to step up from position 2, to position 1, could result in 3 or 4 times more sales for you….think about that and let it sink in.

Or to step from position 6 to 1 could mean we earn 10 times more sales.

A tiny step in rankings – a huge step in sales, which means more money in your bank account, more customers, more clients, etc.

Now notice what these add up to. The total of all clicks from the front page are 89.8%. Again, just as I mentioned in the Google eye study, 90% of people find what they are looking for on the front page. Only 10% ever get as far as the second page – and from there, less than 1% get to the third page.

Google, the most valuable real estate in the world, for good reason!

Interesting!

I feel like there is a scarcity of good marketing today. Good marketing means which can convert the leads into sales. The only marketing that has moved me in the last couple of years is Social Media Optimization.

It seems to me that getting listed in google and driving traffic is becoming harder and harder so the more software and advice out there to help with this situation is great and we need more of it

my initial test result shows that Bing is as good as Google when displaying relevant search results. Google might be having a tough competitor with Microsofts own search engine.

I really love the article on dominating the 3 big boss search engines. I think ranking at the 1st page for a particular keyword with exact match domain keyword is not tough. I see with few backlink potential it kick towards the 1st page and finally to the 1st spot.

Another way to increase your site’s traffic is to include videos. Videos are appearing more and more in google search results. YouTube is also providing more ways advertisers to reach their local target markets.

Videos also have the chance of becoming more viral and can help build more brand awareness. Businesses selling products and services can increase their site traffic by providing video tutorial guides and product demonstrations.

So mix up your marketing strategies and make yourself more visible online with not only quality text content but good, entertaining or helpful web videos as well!
