Video and video marketing are just a couple of the hottest new buzz words in the internet marketing world.

Want to create videos that will rock the world of your viewers?

Follow these dynamite video creation tips.

Use good lighting and backgrounds. You want your background clear and do be careful of the lighting. Most lighting is yellow and makes you look orange. Here’s a handy tip – cover the lights with blue gel paper. It’s kind of like cellophane and you can buy it any craft store for cheap. Just put the blue cellophane over your lighting and it works just as well as an expensive professional filter. The blue takes the yellow out of the lighting so your skin tones will appear natural – and not leave you looking like someone rolled you in Cheeto dust.

Talk to the camera – just like it’s a real person. It may take you a while to get over any shyness you have, but it will come with practice. Speak from your heart, just like talking to a friend in a bar, church, or sports event. Be NATURAL, don’t try and be an actor – just be you.

Speak confidently – people can read you on video very easily. If you aren’t sincere, they will know it. If you aren’t confident, then you aren’t the authority figure that people will follow as a leader.

Do not put your website URL at the beginning of the video – place it at the end. If at the beginning, it immediately tells people it is some type of sales message, by placing it at the end you have the opportunity to engage people and keep them watching your message. Put your website URL at the end of the video with your…

Strong call to action. Tell people what you want them to do next. Should they call you, click a link for free information, etc. Tell people what action you want them to carry out.

Use music if it’s not a “talking head” video. In other words, if your video is only made from powerpoint slides, graphics and still photos…music will set the mood. Use good upbeat music – not something to put people asleep or remind them of Grandma.

Keep your message short. People are not going to watch an infomercial. Unless it’s an educational video, try and keep your message to under 3 minutes, shorter if possible. Remember, some of the most powerful commercials ever made have been 30 seconds in length. It is your desire to attract people with a short powerful message and have them take action from there. Statistics show that only 46% of viewers will watch video longer than one minute, 36% will watch for 2 minutes and only 17% will hang around long enough to watch for 3 minutes. Split your message into shorter videos if you need to – break it into sections.

Use these tips for successful video marketing and watch your views and your visitors soar.

To Your Online Success!

Less than 5% of traditional business use video in any type of promotion at all - and when they do, they usually are doing it wrong...

Online video marketing is growing increasingly popular among the internet marketing community.

Virtually any internet marketer worth his salt is actively engaged in promoting his products and services via video.

Incredibly, less than 5% of traditional businesses are using video in any type of promotion at all – and when they do, they usually are doing it wrong, modeling it after traditional commercials rather than reality TV which is what the internet is about.

The internet is no different than your home.

Do you run to the TV when a commercial comes on or do you run the opposite direction to the fridge or a bathroom break?

It amazes me that the Madison Avenue types, who charge a minimum of $50,000 for a simple video haven’t figured this out yet, and they wonder why nobody wants to watch their videos.

The Madison Avenue morons are more interested in winning advertising awards from elitest advertising award presenters than servicing their clients. Madison Avenue is a racket, if you haven’t figured that out yet.

When you use video online, people want to hear from real people just like you.

They want to hear truthful reasons to be doing business with you.

Here are some of the most powerful ways video can be used.

Be sure and make it real – the more real the better. Talk to people from the heart, tell them about why your service or product will address a solution to their problem in a non-salesy way.

One of the most emotionally powerful ways to use video is using them for testimonials from actual customers or clients. This is called Social Proof and it’s a whizz bang way to excite your audience. The only thing your potential customers value more than you telling them about your business, is hearing a customer or client tell them how good your business is. Video testimonials are proof positive that your business is a leader just as you claim. To Follow up your video presentation with video testimonials is killer, and a powerful 1-2 punch to your website visitor.

When utilizing video, upload your videos to at least 30 video directories. This is where you gain audience and thus traffic to your site. Make your video in 2 parts. The first part goes into the video directories, they have to visit your site to hear the rest. Make your video interesting and invoke curiousity with your viewer. Remember, it is your goal to have them visit your site – give them the right bait to make them click on your link. If they don’t visit your site you’ve gained nothing. Leave them wanting more, and watch the traffic swarm begin.

Always be sure to put your website URL at the end of your video for a minimum of 20 seconds…brand your video with your link.

Hire models for your video shoot – sex sells and it always has. Be creative and think out of the box – a great looking sexy model in a cleverly shot video will get you more traffic than a 50 year old CEO any and everyday.

If you aren’t using video marketing in your business, you are missing the boat and the chance to put yourself light years ahead of your competition. Video accounted for over 50% of the content online last year yet only 5% of businesses are using it – this is a window of opportunity to put yourself miles ahead of your competition – take it and run by using video marketing.

Video accounted for 52% of all new internet content last year, yet only about 5% of business is using it.

Want To Be A Video Star, drive sales and get listed in Google virtually instantly?

Do you use video in your marketing?

If not, you should be.

Video accounted for 52% of all new internet content last year, yet only about 5% of business is using it. The door is open for you. I help people do that, and have a fantastic video marketing strategy I use for my clients that absolutely can dominate google and take over any keyword they choose.

We blast their videos out to over 30 video directories in 4 different formats for complete and utter domination in their particular niche.

However, I also know there are those that wish to try it themselves, and it’s not that difficult. Here are some things for you to play around with. These are some great free resources if you don’t want to buy expensive video software or a proper video camera.

It’s perfectly acceptable to make power point videos, slide videos, add music or voice narration and voila! You have a video. Here you go.

Animoto: You can make 30 second videos complete with speaker crashing music for free, then upload them to YouTube. For a minimal fee, you can make longer videos and have the option of also downloading them to your own computer.

Jing: By Techsmith, the makers of Camtasia. I use Camtasia, it’s great software but at $300 it doesn’t come cheap. Jing is their free online version. You can make a 5 minute video quickly and easily and record anything on your screen. You can also use the microphone built in to your computer to record. Give it a shot, it’s incredibly simple to use.

Screentoaster: The latest and greatest browser based online screen capture software. Record screencasts, tutorials, lectures, training, demos and more. This one is pretty coola and growing in popularity. Give it a shot!

Most of all, have fun with your videos.

It takes some practice to get at these things so have patience.

I’ll be back with more articles soon more specific to actually marketing your videos.
