Obviously, it’s easy to notice what is happening here and again, why I stress taking over the front page of search is crucial for your business.

With a single glance you can see that the closer you are to the top of the listings, the more potential customers visit your web-site.

Visitors select higher results far more often than they select results below, as is also shown by the Google eye studies I shared in a prior video.

Here is how it breaks down. If Google were sending out 1,000 visitors per day for a keyword, the #1 result would receive 421 of them (this pretty holds true for other search engines also).

But for each step you take to the next lower rung of the ladder, there’s a massive drop in the amount of traffic that you get.

This is why ranking matters – big time!

Position #1 might get 421 visitors…

But position #2 might only get 119 (just over 1/4 of the visitors of position #1);
Position #3 would get just 81 visitors (1/5th of the visitors of position #1);
Position #6 would receive just 41 visitors per day (1/10th of the visitors of position #1);

So to step up from position 2, to position 1, could result in 3 or 4 times more sales for you….think about that and let it sink in.

Or to step from position 6 to 1 could mean we earn 10 times more sales.

A tiny step in rankings – a huge step in sales, which means more money in your bank account, more customers, more clients, etc.

Now notice what these add up to. The total of all clicks from the front page are 89.8%. Again, just as I mentioned in the Google eye study, 90% of people find what they are looking for on the front page. Only 10% ever get as far as the second page – and from there, less than 1% get to the third page.

Ahhh…the tricks of Internet Marketing, and savvy internet marketers. There’s always more than meets the eye when it comes to internet marketing services.

I’ve had several emails asking me what those yellow markings are on Google.

People have observed them in my videos and want to know what’s up.

Actually, it’s spyware that shows me all the adwords and the actual ads that are being used for any keyword search by advertisers.

It’s a great tool that saves me a lot of time. Here’s why.

Typically, advertisers test, split test and test some more to find good keywords and also split test the ads themselves in paired combos to find the best performing ad for any specific keyword they are advertising for.

I can save myself a lot of time if I can observe what they are doing and then just utilize the same adwords or ads for myself with a few tricks of my own thrown in.

It’s a great way to find new markets also. Many advertisers have already found long tail keywords that work that I don’t have to look for. Also, by observing their keyword lists, I can sometimes discover hot niches I haven’t thought of.

By observing what they are doing, I can save myself tons of time in discovering keywords because typically advertisers have all ready done the majority of the work. Additionally, I use other tools to dig down even deeper into Google’s keyword tool to uncover traffic sources and clues to what may work or not work.

Why You Must Be On Page One

I keep hammering on the importance of taking over page one of Google.

Today we talk about exactly why.

If you aren’t on page one of Google, your business isn’t being seen.

Here’s some food for thought.

Google gets over 75% of all search traffic. Think about that, 1.5 billion people online and 75% of all their searches flow through Google’s front door – that’s a bunch to say the least.

Now the killer – 90% of those searchers never make it past page one, and in fact, according to studies, 90% of them find what they are looking for within the first 2 organic search results.

Now you know why Google is so popular and those statistics prove their algorithms deliver relevance to the searcher. This is why searchers love and trust Google – they find what they are looking for quickly and easily and here’s the important point – their trust is transferred to the results they find – please get and understand that.

You are the beneficiary of Google’s relevant searches.  75% of users trust the companies that are listed on the front page of Google – meaning you have instant credibility with your potential prospect/customer.

In February 2009 Google released it’s eye study test. This test was conducted by Google to assure they were giving relevant results to searchers. Google is totally based on keeping their search clients happy by delivering the most
relevant material for the end user – that’s why Google is the biggest and most popular search engine – they quickly deliver what people are looking for.

As you can see from this heatmap, users eyes scan the page beginning from top left to bottom, and this study shows exactly what I mean. You will see from this heatmap, that most people find what they are looking for in the first 2
results and never go further down the page, and 90% actually find what they are looking for on the front page and never go deeper into the search results.

It’s been a month since I launched my blog. I actually shot this
video on the anniversary date of May 15 then had to leave town
before I had a chance to post it.

But now I’m back so thought I would share.

This illustrates how powerful these techniques can be and I am
only using about 5% of the tools at my disposal. Were I to really
turn it on it would be to much to fast and could possibly run
the risk of “sandboxing” – so just building things out nice and slow.

Last time, I told you I was going to start attacking search terms for
business consulting, website design and internet marketing consultant.

The corner to utter domination has been turned and you can see I am
pretty much dominating those terms with multiple listings on Google front
page or total domination with all 10 front page slots.

By the end of the next 30 days, I will own all of these pages totally.

Why is that important?

Because 90% of searchers NEVER get past page one. So by driving everyone
elso off the page, you negate and nullify them forcing them to spend money
to advertise that you don’t have to – business is war they say.
